The world needs more human factors people
I received this message this evening attempting to send an email from Outlook:

Though I was tempted to click the link, I knew that whatever happened would certainly not be very helpful either.
Laughs aside, the reminder here is how important it is to be constantly in touch with users. We didn't do this enough with Dataphor, or at least we didn't listen to what they said. What we heard was a continual chant of "make this easier to use"; what we did was tweak the guts and add features. We'll try to do better next time around. Was this blog posting helpful?

As one who depends on Dataphor and possibly the chant leader, I'm grateful that you focused on performance and stability, or guts. Now please make this easier to use! :)

What I do worry about Dataphor is that Alphora is gone, and the DbCG doesn’t yet have a product. No matter how hard to use.
